Image Management Services (IMS)
Image Management Services (IMS)
Definition
- Image Management Service (IMS) provides easy-to-use self-service image management functions.
- You can use a public, private, or shared image to create ECSs.
- You can also create a private image using an ECS or an external image file.
Functions
- You can create a system disk image, data disk image, or full-ECS image using an ECS or external image file.
- You can share your private images with other users.
- If you are a multi-resource space user, the image sharing function allows you to use images conveniently across multiple resource spaces in the same region.
Application Scenarios
- Creating an ECS Using an Image: You can create ECSs in batches using existing images (including public images, system disk images, and shared images).
- You can create private images from existing ECSs and create new ECSs in batches using these private images, facilitating service migration and deployment.
- You can export EVS disks as data disk images and create data disk images using external image files for the smooth migration of the data.
